The 2004 Eurographics Workshop (Ireland) will be hosted by the Multimedia Group of the Computer Science Department in University College, Cork (UCC) on the 9th of September.
Eurographics, the European Association for Computer Graphics is a non-profit association set up with the purpose of promoting and contributing to the advancement of computer graphics primarily in Europe. The association organises many different activities and services for its members who include researchers, developers, educators, and those who work in the computer graphics industry both as users and providers of computer graphics hardware, software and applications. The events and services of the association are available to everyone. Eurographics also has Local Chapters in certain countries, which organise their own programme of events for EG member in those countries.
This year, 2004, UCC hosts the annual Workshop Series of the Irish Chapter of Eurogrphics. This year's workshop includes papers covering diverse areas of Interactive Computer Graphics from Virtual Reality to Medical Imaging. New application areas are presented and old techniques/problems are revisited. The one-day Workshop should prove to be a great day for those involved/interested in Computer Graphics.
This Workshop is open to both members and non-members of Eurographics.
